Free Checking

If this will be your first account with STCU, you will need to view our information about becoming a member

  • Requires an initial deposit of $100.00 to open up account, or this initial deposit may be waived if you sign up for direct deposit.

  • Share Draft (Checking) account is an interest-earning account

  • Must maintain a minimum balance of $1,000.00 to earn dividends

  • Pay no monthly fee

  • Carbonless duplicate checks available. You must pay for these, and checks will not be ordered until there is a balance in the account to cover the check order

  • 3 options for Overdraft Protection available:

    • Transfer from Share Savings

    • Transfer from Line of Credit (LOC) (need to apply using the loan application to set up)

    • Courtesy Pay (need to opt-in to activate)

  • Direct Deposit

    • Your paycheck will be deposited securely and expediently if you sign up for this feature

Note: Share Draft (Checking) accounts are run through a check verification system.

Visa Debit Card

  • Allows you to make purchases using it as a credit or debit transaction (no fee charged to take extra money while making your purchase using cashback)

  • Allows you to make cash withdrawals without fees at any STCU ATM, CU24 ATM, or Publix ATM (outside of stores)

  • Locate CU24 ATM locations as you travel

  • Visa Check Cards will not be ordered until there is a balance in the account. However, you will not be charged for your first card

  • There is a fee for lost cards, and that fee can be found on our fees page

E-Z Account

  • An initial deposit of $100.00 to open or this initial deposit may be waived if you sign up for Direct Deposit

  • No minimum balance required

  • Pay no monthly fee

  • Unlimited withdraws in the credit union

  • No checks available, but can purchase money orders and certified checks.

  • Restricted Debit Card available

    • Allows 6 free transactions in a month which includes balance inquiries, transfers, and withdrawal.

    • Allows you to make cash withdrawals without fees at any STCU ATM, CU24 ATM
